The trend a few years ago was for all sorts of family safe oriented sites. The initial intent was to screen out the worst of the worst namely the sites that had no value at all. By no value we mean of course pictures of the variety that most parents would find offensive. For a short time that was enough to weed out most sides but as parents have now found not all bad sites. Along comes family friendly sites, a website dedicated to giving web users an index of valuable sites. In this case
kid safe marketing and advertising sites.
The value in this type of aggregation of data is that for a small fee the site operators screen sites. In order to get added to this type of directory an administrator from the site actually visits each site on a regular basis. In turn many sites choose to display the logo of family friendly thereby indicating their participation in the program. They've been around for ten years and are still growing but have enjoyed a wonderful reputation over that time. You'll also find they have a collection of valuable political resources which were also pre-screened. The benefit being allowing our children to get political news and commentary without the profanity and often racist tirades that dominate so many sites. They continue to expand the number of available resources over time and look to continue growing into their second decade.
